Many bands will proudly proclaim that they play all original music. For the most part, the Sarah Mac Band does as well. Obviously, if you're going to tout your own album (filled with your own original music), it's a wise business move to play all original music. But sometimes, there are those songs that you come across that you wish that you'd written. The ones that are so fun to play and sing that you can't resist them. Songs that speak your heart’s language even though the lyrics didn't originate with you. These are the songs on the Sarah Mac Band's Live Covers Volume One. A collection of songs recorded live over two nights in November 2011, all rearranged "Sarah Mac Band style" to highlight Sarah's sassy, sultry vocals and Claire's and Charlie's seductive blues instrumentals. Also featured on the album are guest musicians Libby O'Neill and Leon Anderson, Jr.
